This Privacy Policy explains how I collect, use and protect personal information when providing legal advice and representation at police stations.

1. Who I am

I am Mohammad Yasar Saleem, a solicitor regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). I work as a consultant solicitor at Kayders Solicitors, 16 Upper Woburn Place, Euston, London WC1H 0BS.

2. Data controller

I act as a data controller for the personal information I collect when you contact me directly. Kayders Solicitors are separate data controllers for information they store and manage in accordance with their own policies and Legal Aid Agency requirements.

3. Information I collect

When you contact me I may collect:
– Full name, address, date of birth and contact details
– Case-related information and any documents you provide
– Other information reasonably required to verify your identity or to represent you

4. Why I collect and use your information

Your information is used to:
– Provide legal advice and representation (including at police stations)
– Verify identity to meet regulatory and professional obligations
– Communicate with the police, courts or other bodies as necessary
– Comply with Legal Aid Agency, SRA and other legal duties

Lawful bases for processing include performance of a contract, legal obligation and legitimate interests (case management and communication).

5. How information is stored

Client data is held securely using the Bullseye Solutions case management system (www.bullseyesolutions.co.uk). Email is hosted via IONOS. Documents and case information are shared with Kayders Solicitors for secure long-term storage and to satisfy Legal Aid Agency retention requirements.

6. Who I share information with

I will only share your personal information where necessary to provide legal services, including with:
– Kayders Solicitors (case management and file storage)
– The police, courts or other public authorities, where necessary to represent you
– The Legal Aid Agency, where required for funding or audit purposes

I will never sell your personal information or use it for marketing.

7. Retention

Files are retained for the periods required by the Legal Aid Agency and the SRA. After the required retention period, records will be securely deleted or archived in line with Kayders Solicitors’ retention policy.

8. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
– Request access to the personal data I hold about you (a subject access request)
– Request correction of inaccurate data
– Request deletion of data, where there is no legal requirement to retain it
– Object to or request a restriction of processing in certain circumstances

9. Security

I use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including password protection and secure systems. No system is completely risk-free, but I take reasonable steps to safeguard data.

This website does not use cookies for analytics or marketing.

I will share this information with Kayders Solicitors.
